Default Survival Arena Mode

Hey, here's a concept for a Tomb arena mode!

Team's are put into their own arenas where they have to fight an unlimited swarm of some form of enemy, such as Mursaat or something. The numbers become increasingly greater after each passing minute. Every boss they kill they get a moralle boost, perhaps. Last team remaining wins the match.

I like the whole survival idea, but what would you do if everyone dies? or if no one does? I can see some of the top guilds going for highers waiting for the other team to fall

Well someone would have to die eventually. The swarms of enemies would eventually come so intense that the team would eventually fall. And its impossible for the last 2 standing teams to die at the exact same time...even if by a millisecond there would be a victor.

Good idea and instead of every minute maybe go like this... 1st rd ( 1 monster/1 boss) 2nd rd (2 monsters/ 1 boss) ect till rd 10 start doing this (10 monsters/ 2 boss) and ect n if u can even make it to 20 add a 3rd boss? i could see that being a great way of determining what Team can beat the most monsters as a "team"

this idea sounds like from the game Priston Tale...where you pay an entry fee form a party say 8 each round last for 2-3 mins as you progress the monsters gets harder lvl wise and last players standing after amount of rounds win

I like it! Do you form alliances with other teams to do well and get far (bigger rewards for making it farther, so everyone wins), or do you stab them in the back by Mesmer Power Spiking their self healing spell and dispelling their enchants when they need it most?

Bwahahaha, the treachery opportunities alone make it worth the price of admission. Fight the mobs AND the other teams. Secret PMs going back and forth as to who to sell out on the alliances. Who do we all go after first? Not simply the monks, but the uber-top dog team that has all the fame and fortune.

Well it could be an arena in itself like arredondo said, but what I had in mind was like an addition to the tomb itself, like in a pre HoH match.

Say 6 teams are placed into small arenas, but they are all seperated. Then the mobs come, and it could either work out that like after every mod a new one comes, after every mob unless 2 minutes passes a new one comes, or perhaps if they dont kill the mob within 2 minutes they all die. Hehe, they're all good.

I think both arena alone and HoH match would be good!

In the arena alone they should have teams where you select and random teams! I personally like random teams because it prepares you better-in my opinion-for whatever and whoever through at you!

I love anything gladiatorish to be added.

How about, team of 8 in the center of the arena (4 doors, 1 on each side) and 6 jade scarabs or similar small swarming bug comes in, for each one killed 6 more enter one of the other doors. The numbers would swell quickly and despite the level or skill of the players it would be all over in less than a minute.

I would also like to see a gladiator event with people soloing worms... the problem is, there's not enough action and movement in bad guy ai.

Default Hehe

Hehe, it could turn into its own set of things.

The 6 teams fight, last team remaining moves onto the next round.

The next round has 3 teams fighting more enemies, same conditions, but while were at it lets have something like the dragons liar, some always present condition, which could be randomly selected. Winner of that moves on to the final round where the two teams are pitted in the same arena, with the conditions, and it could be a match to see who could kill the most enemies in x minutes. Wow, this is turning into something!

Theres a loop hole in your idea, if its not fixable, what would stop a team from buying one of those scroll and gaining INTENSE experience?

Can you use scrolls in pvp? If so, then whats stopping people from using scrolls in regular pvp? 900 points per win sounds nice to me.

theres more then just 1 problem ( the exp )

guilds would be good enough to withstand a certain part of it... Every guild will be dieing at the same part. Guilds would then just make their builds so that they can survive that last wave longer then the other guild... which makes me wonder .. why have the beginning waves

if low levels would participate in this kind of fighting, just going to the last wave would wipe them out so fast it would be just dumb.. so building up would therefore make it even for both low levels and high..

- sorry didnt post this in last post didnt read it till now

i luv this idea... like the colosseum ... verrry cool.
and lets just do it like vigilante8: for every monster you kill, 2 spawn. the number of monsters killed is used to determine your leetness. may it be in a sort of tournament or may it be like a highscore, carved in a plate of stone.
i dont care.

just do it like the romans and we should be fine. brot und spiele, eh.
